The year of foundation of the Peter Temming branch in Glueckstadt to bleach cotton for the production of cotton linters.
1923
Installation of the first paper machine in Glueckstadt to turn bleached linters into nitrated crepe.
1925/1928
Installation of a second paper machine in Glueckstadt which amongst others produced woodfree printing and writing papers.
1931
Peter Temming is now an incorporated company (AG) and thus one of the oldest such in the paper industry.
1937
Installation of a fourth paper machine in Glueckstadt and a new boiler and steam turbine.
1945
In Glueckstadt a ground wood mill is installed and tissue papers, bandaging crepe, writing and packing paper are produced.
1962
Peter Temming AG obtains the majority share in a paper mill in Witzenhausen, thus starting an extensive investment programme.
1967
The mill in Witzenhausen has to be closed and one of the paper machines is transferred to Glueckstadt.
1974
Steinbeis & Consorten, a company belonging to Steinbeis, obtains a share in Peter Temming AG. The company concentrates on the production of recycled paper made from recovered paper.
1976
In Glueckstadt at the newly formed company, Steinbeis Temming Papier, the production of graphic recycled paper made from 100% printers' waste commences; a paper machine is rebuilt to make medium fine graphic paper.
1977
The first deinking plant is installed in Glueckstadt, to remove the inks from the printers' waste.
1982/1983
The existing deinking plant in Glueckstadt is extended and a second one installed.
1984
A completely biological water treatment plant is taken into service in Glueckstadt.
1986
The rebuilding of paper machine 4 (PM4) begins with the change-over of the raw material basis to 100 percent recovered paper, which means the greatest possible protection of the resources, water, energy and wood.
1987
The PM 4 is taken into service; award received for "Environmentally Friendly Company".
1991
Paper machine 6 (PM6) is built and thus the production capacity is doubled whilst retaining the low waste and waste water figures.
1994
The Peter Temming AG is awarded the qualitäty standard DIN ISO 9001.
1996
The linters production in Glueckstadt, Peter Temming AG, is sold to Buckeye, Memphis. At the mill PM 1 is taken out of production so that there just remain the two new paper machines 4 and 6 making recycled paper from 100 % recovered paper.
1997
The office papers producted in Glückstadt are awarded the "Blue Angel" und "Nordic Swan".
1998
Market introduction of a recycled office paper with 80 ISO brightness.
2000
Environmental and Quality Certificates according to DIN ISO 9001 and DIN ISO 14001, repeated award for „Environmetally Friendly Company“.
2001
The (just renamed) Steinbeis Temming AG withdraws from the stock exchange.
The PM 4 is rebuilt enabling a capacity increase by 30%.
2003
The decision to build a new recovered paper processing plant represents the largest single investment in Glueckstadt since the PM 6 was build in 1991.
2005
The recovered paper processing plant 2 (AP 2) is completed. At the same time the recovered paper plant AP 3 was extended and the goal achieved to produce even higher quality papers.
2006
The new recovered paper processing plants make possible the market introduction of two new products of high quality.
The office paper division brings out for the first time a recycled grade with 90 ISO brightness and the Blue Angel.
For the printing of magazines, periodicals and other top quality printed matter the new product, Charisma, is launched – a coated paper from 100 % recovered paper with a jump in quality.
2008
Building starts for the new top modern power plant for generating steam and electricity on the basis of thermal energy coupling (investment volume approx. EUR 100 Million)
Company re-named Steinbeis Papier Glückstadt GmbH & Co. KG
